Dear Parents,
We do not have school on Monday, November 11~Veteran's Day. We will go on our field trip to Historic Oakview on Tuesday. The weather looks like it will be rainy and cold :(. Please send in a snack that the wrapper/baggy can be thrown away. Thanks!
The OCE Family Marathon is on Wednesday at 2:00.
We will have Saturday School on November 16. Students can begin arriving at 8:45; school starts at 9:15 and dismisses at 12:45. We will not have lunch so, please send in a snack. We will not have specials or recess. The day will be instruction only. Please let me know if your child will not be attending. Thanks!
Next week in ELA, we will write a new pourquoi tale as an assessment, read a narrative story to find the gist, and read informational texts to answer questions about frogs. We will identify informational text features and determine how they help with comprehension.
In math, we will relate multiplication and division. Practice multiplication fluency with 11, 7, and 8 and solve multiplication and division word problems. We will write equations with a variable as the unknown.
In social studies, we will continue map skills.
In science, we will explore joints.
