Dear Parents,
I hope everyone enjoyed the snow day! We will not have to make up the day so, we will be busy trying to fit in a lot of learning!
We will have our 3's test on Monday, February 24.
In ELA, we will finish reading Peter Pan and take an assessment on comparing and contrasting stories and recounting a story. We will then begin writing a book review (opinion piece) about Peter Pan. Additionally, we will begin novel studies in reading groups.
In math, we will do a quick review of area and perimeter and then take our post test. We will begin fractions this week. We will identify fractions as equal pieces of a whole, identify unit fractions, use fraction strips to identify and compare fractions, and make fractional parts with pattern blocks.
In science, we will explore the earth's movement around the sun and shadows.
In social studies, we will continue economics.
