Dear Parents,
I hope everyone enjoyed our unexpected long weekend! We have a busy week ahead! On Friday, we will celebrate Valentine's Day, have an in school field trip on motion, and a cultural arts assembly on poetry.
In ELA, we will read Peter Pan and identify character traits and point of view. We will answer questions by referring back into the text. We will have an assessment on Wednesday. Then we will begin reading both Peter Pan and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens. We will compare and contrast the stories.
In math, we will continue area and perimeter. We will design our own playgrounds, use the distributive property to solve area problems, design courses for robots, and design robots. Finally, we will design treehouses using area and perimeter. We will have a quiz on Tuesday.
In social studies, we will explore economics.
In science, we will explore objects in the sky.
